Klax

Klax is a fast-paced puzzle game originally created by Atari Games and released for MS-DOS in 1990. The player must catch colored tiles as they roll down a conveyor belt and carefully drop them into a stack below. The goal is to arrange matching colors into horizontal, vertical, or diagonal lines known as “Klaxes.”

As the game progresses, the conveyor speeds up and the challenges become increasingly demanding. Different stages require the player to complete specific objectives, such as creating a certain number of Klaxes, achieving a target score, or forming special patterns. Quick reactions are important, but planning ahead is often the key to surviving the later levels.

With its simple concept, colorful graphics, and addictive arcade-style gameplay, Klax became a memorable puzzle title of the early 1990s. The MS-DOS version successfully brings the original arcade experience to home computers, offering an easy-to-learn but increasingly difficult challenge that rewards both speed and strategy.
