Eternam

ADVENTURE 1992

Eternam Eternam is a point-and-click adventure game released for MS-DOS in 1992 by Infogrames. The game tells the story of Bob Wilson, a young man living in the distant future, where society is obsessed with achieving immortality through advanced technology and scientific experimentation. Bob is chosen as a test subject for a time-travel project, which unexpectedly goes wrong and sends him far from his intended destination.

As a result of the failed experiment, Bob finds himself trapped in the strange medieval world of Eternam, a land where remnants of highly advanced technology exist alongside knights, castles, and deep-rooted superstition. To survive, Bob must explore numerous locations, collect and combine objects, and communicate with a wide cast of unusual and often humorous characters. The game challenges players to think creatively, as many puzzles rely on unconventional logic and careful observation.

Eternam is remembered for its distinctive blend of science fiction and fantasy, as well as its quirky humor and demanding difficulty. While its puzzles can be unforgiving, the game stands out for its imaginative world-building, detailed graphics for the era, and its place among Infogrames’ notable adventure titles of the early 1990s.
