Battle Isle

Battle Isle is a turn-based strategy game developed and published by Blue Byte in 1991. Set on the fictional planet Chromos, the game puts players in command of futuristic military forces fighting across a series of tactical battlefields. With its science-fiction setting, hex-based maps, and carefully balanced units, Battle Isle became one of the defining strategy titles of the early 1990s.

Gameplay focuses on capturing strategic locations, managing different types of land, air, and naval units, and using terrain to gain an advantage over the enemy. One of the game’s most distinctive features is its split-screen presentation, allowing both players to plan and execute their moves simultaneously.
