Gobliins 2
Gobliins 2: The Prince Buffoon is a charming puzzle-adventure game developed by Coktel Vision and released for MS-DOS in 1992. As the sequel to the original Gobliiins, it continues the series’ distinctive blend of colorful cartoon graphics, surreal humor, and imaginative puzzle solving. This time, players control two goblins, Fingus and Winkle, who set out on a quest to rescue the kidnapped Prince Buffoon.Unlike a traditional point-and-click adventure, Gobliins 2 focuses almost entirely on environmental puzzles and interaction with strange characters and objects. Fingus is the more sensible and intelligent of the pair, while Winkle tends to solve problems in rather unconventional ways. Many challenges require the player to coordinate both characters, experiment with different actions, and discover humorous chains of cause and effect.
With its expressive animations, eccentric locations, and playful atmosphere, Gobliins 2 is one of the most memorable puzzle games of the early 1990s. Its unusual logic can occasionally be tricky, but the inventive puzzles and constant visual comedy give the game a unique personality. For fans of classic DOS adventures, it remains a distinctive example of Coktel Vision’s imaginative and instantly recognizable style.
