Classic MS-DOS Games from 1994

1994 saw MS-DOS gaming operating at its creative and commercial peak. X-COM: UFO Defense by MicroProse delivered a strategy masterpiece blending turn-based tactical combat with base management and a creeping sense of alien menace — it still appears on 'greatest games ever made' lists. System Shock from Looking Glass Technologies pioneered the immersive sim. Doom II expanded the id Software phenomenon. Magic Carpet and Theme Park showed Bullfrog at the height of their powers. DOS had never produced so many excellent games in a single year.
